Bullet Boy is a specialised film - its naturalistic representation of characters, time and place, and the use of authentic locations and language have drawn comparisons with milestone British films
Verve Pictures however, saw the potential of the film in the wider market beyond the arthouse, especially with a young black audience drawn by the presence of Ashley Walters of So Solid Crew.

Old Hollywood Producer Unit System
Central producer still maintained high degree of control over all of the film production at a given studio, but it was difficult to keep tabs on the growing number of films. It is also difficult for central producer to be an “expert” in every genre
- Various studios’ central producers began assigning assistants to take over a degree of control over smaller groups of film.
- Specialization increased
-Different directors under central producer specialized in various genres of films
- Producer-Unit system adopted by all Big 5 studios, which allows them to make more film more efficiently than during the silent era.
- Part of general increase in Specialization & departmentalization at the studios
The impact this had on the old Hollywood system (Audience)
- They are only able to make one genre, not giving them much choice to choose from.
- This made the films very predictable, everyone knew what they were getting and this made it easy to decide on a film preference.
Industry
- They had a much bigger work load, and this meant everyone always had a lot of work. Everyone became a specialist in the films that they made, and they could reuse things, which made things much easier.

Genre Marketing - Disturbia
The film is a horror/thriller film and you can see this because of the colours used in these images, you can tell this because of the dark colours that have been used here. Also, the main character, who is Shia LaBeouf has a very serious look on his face which tells us again that this film is a horror. He is also looking straight at us, i think they have done this to make us feel a little uneasy and nervous.

Research of RKO Studios
RKO studios stands for 'Radio-Keith-Orpheum' and it is an American film production and distribution company. Some of the most famous films to come out of RKO studios are 'King Kong' and 'Citizen Kane'. RKO studios was known as one of the big five studios of Hollywood Golden age. An industrialist Howard Hughes took over RKO in 1948. This didn't go very well and in 1955 the studio was bought by the 'General tire and Rubber company'. The original RKO studios ceased production in 1957 and effectively dissolved to years later. In 1989 there was only a few remaining assets, the trademark and everything else was sold to the new owners, who now operate a small independent company RKO Pictures.

Tim Robbins
Some of his most important films that he has been in are 'War of the Worlds', 'Shawshank Redemption', Green Lantern' and he has also been in 'Toy Soldiers'. Most of the films that he has been included are usually action films but on the other hand some are also drama films. He doesn't directly get involved in these action films, but he is on the side as a stranger who gets involved with the main characters life somehow.
Tim Robbins has been treated well in the film industry, you know this because how long he has been in the film industry and also how successful.
